The Institute enhances the real estate curriculum by providing instructional support in the area of real estate, coordinating student internships with commercial real estate firms, and providing opportunities for visiting real estate practitioners to interface with students.

Each Spring, JES employees participate in the local CF Walk as a team. The team walks in commemoration of Michelle Sharp. Michelle, an asset manager for Affordable Equity Partners, passed away in 2008. Prior to her death, Michelle was very active in CF awareness, as her husband has CF. In her memory, JES employees continue yearly involvement in the walk. Participating team members wear team shirts for the event and also plan fundraising events leading up to the walk.
